Our commitment to the dogs in our care.

All dogs will:

• Have access to clean water at all times.

• Be provided with the highest quality food available.

• Be weighed daily to monitor their condition.

• Have their kennel space cleaned, disinfected, and enriched each day.

• Have the temperature in their kennels monitored and adjusted as appropriate.

• Be taken for regular veterinary checks, and be up to date on all vaccinations.

• Be rested for at least 18 hours between operational taskings.

• Have the opportunity to rest and recover from periods of intense work.

• Have regular and positive human interaction.

• Have the opportunity to leave their kennel a minimum of five times in each 24-hour period.

• Be exercised for a minimum of one hour per day as appropriate.

• Undergo a minimum of 8 hours continuation training per week, as appropriate for work-load/recovery.

  Where possible, we operate to the standards set out by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (UK).
